For more than two decades I have served elder clients and their families from nearly every angle of the care continuum. Each role taught me something the next would need — and slowly, a single picture came into focus: the healthcare system, particularly for the elderly, is confusing, with limited resources and even less guidance for families on how to access much-needed services.

I founded TRIBUTE Elder Care Consulting to close that gap. Here, we merge the social science of aging with the science of caring. Our commitment is to improve the experience and the outcome for the elder and the family caregiver — by being a passionate advocate, a collaborative partner, and a resourceful guide.

I have sat in case conferences where the right question was never asked. I have walked families through discharges they were told would be "routine." I have learned which assisted living communities live up to their brochures, which rehab teams call back, and which questions Medicare will and won't answer over the phone.
